Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The City of Tshwane will officially be opening its public pools in the capital ahead of spring.
The city will be opening 7 out of 22 pools on Friday and the remaining ones on Sunday.
Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo says safety precautions have been taken into consideration.
“As a caring city we have prioritised the public safety at our public pools by enlisting an organisation that is responsible for guards. These lifeguards will be deployed in all the pools”, says Mashigo.

At the same time Mashigo warns residents that they need to continue to use water sparingly.
“We plead with residents and the business community at large to continue with their efforts to conserve water.”
