This woman wants you to try 'urine therapy' for your skin
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Julia Sillaman claims drinking her own urine has cleared her skin and helped her to manage her weight.
Medical aid is expensive and some people don't believe that commercial pharmaceutical products are truly effective, so it is no wonder that alternative natural remedies are becoming increasingly popular. But just how far out of the mainstream are you willing to go for clear skin and a flat stomach?
If you're like Julia Sillaman, you will go as far as drinking your own urine to get healthy - and you won't even flinch.
Julia filmed herself rubbing her own urine onto her skin, telling viewers that the bodily fluid worked wonders to cure her acne. She says she started using urine as a remedy after speaking to Christo Dabraccio, who claimed that the remedy gave him boundless energy and greatly improved his health.

Julia posted pictures of her improved skin, saying it was because of the compounds in the urine which her body reabsorbed as used as a detoxifying agent. Scientists do not agree with this logic and warn that people who drink their urine could be harming themselves and are "making a mockery of themselves".
Anecdotal evidence from testimonies online show many people who swear by this unconventional remedy, but this does not mean the solution is to be adopted by everyone who wants an energy boost, better skin or quick weight loss. It's more likely that this is a placebo that has been spun into a craze.
Still, you have to admit that Julia's skin does look good. Would you dare to try a urine treatment for your acne.
