The secrets of life, according to the world's oldest man
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Japan's Masazo Nonaka has been named the world's oldest man, but you might be surprised to hear what his secret to a long life is.
A long life is a beautiful blessing, and a rare one at that. If you are lucky enough to live well into your retirement years, you might find time to do only the things that bring you the most joy. By that age, you've more than earned it.
For Masazo Nonaka, a Japanese man who has just been named 'Oldest Person Living (Male)' by the people at Guinness World Records, this means spending time eating only the food you like and speaking your mind at every opportunity. Masazo, who has officially been alive for 112 years and 295 days, is described by his daughter as a no-nonsense person who prefers a stress-free day-to-day life.
Masazo's family says that he has been able to live for so long because he spends his time reading his favourite newspaper, watching TV shows that he likes, and eating his favourite sweets and cakes.
