Runaway horse bolts into a bar in France
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Patrons at a bar in Chantilly, France were surprised when a horse that had escaped from a nearby racecourse came galloping into the establishment at high speed.
We've all heard the joke, "a horse walks into a bar...", and each time the scenario seems wholly impossible. Horses don't walk into bars - they prefer to get their cocktails elsewhere.
But there is at least one horse who enjoys a drink at the end of a long work day, and that horse can be found in Chantilly, north of Paris.
Staff and patrons immediately run out of the way as the horse runs through the bar, bucking its hind legs.
The filly reportedly escaped from a nearby racecourse, dropping her rider along the way. Trainer Jean-Marie Beguigne says the horse is prone to running away but has never made it quite so far away from the stables.
There was a bit of panic in the bar but the owner of the establishment, Stephane Jasmin, says that no one was hurt. Stephane added: "There was quite a panic. I still can't quite believe it happened".
