The passing of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, an icon in South African history and an inspiration to many, has moved a number of public figures to share their personal tributes.
On Tuesday, 3 April South African music icon PJ Powers spoke to Barney Simon about Mama Winnie, talking about the kind of woman she was and about the lighter side of her personality.
PJ remembers how Mama Winnie enjoyed music, and like PJ's own song "Yellow Taxi" for its tongue-in-cheek message. PJ also stressed that Mama Winnie was "always there", saying that she worked with people "on the ground" every day to effect change.
