Meet the nine-year-old wedding photographer
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Passion, skill, and practice can make one a master! This is seen in the case of nine-year-old photographer Regina Wyllie from Scotland.
Regina showed so much interest in photography from a young age that her dad, who is a professional photographer himself, started teaching her how to take photos. “When she was 3, she asked to come along with me when I was shooting a mountain bike race. She lifted my Canon G9 compact camera from my bag and started taking some snaps. I have never forced her to shoot, or to learn anything, and prefer to wait for her to ask questions or to show me an image that she is curious about how it was shot.” Regina’s dad, Kevin, told BuzzFeed.
The nine-year-old has now mastered the skill of taking perfect photos, so much so that she is now a wedding photographer who is in demand and her next wedding gig will be on 1 July, Mix 103.3 reported.
According to the Huffington Post, the photography gene is strong in the family, as even Regina’s younger sister is a star photographer in the making. “To be able to share my passion for photography with my girls (at their own request) makes me the proudest man alive,” he said. “Whether they choose to become pros or not doesn’t matter. If they keep enjoying their photography, I will continue to offer my help and support as much as I can,” Kevin told the publication.
Below are some of Regina’s photos.
