Hip-hop trio Migos performs Neil Diamond hit on 'Carpool Karaoke'

James Corden invited the award-winning hip-hop group Migos on the latest episode of 'Carpool Karaoke', and they performed an unexpected cover of Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline.
When you go for a drive around town with a group of famous hip-hop artists, there is no telling where you will end up. That's what James Corden found out during his latest episode of Carpool Karaoke, which featured award-winning trap group Migos. The three hip-hop stars (who go by the names Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset) showed Corden how exciting a day in the life of a rich musician can be.
In-between singing songs from Whitney Houston and delivering a few of their own hits, including 'Walk It Like I Talk It' and 'Bad and Boujee', the trio took Corden shopping to the tune of $250,000. But it was the group's choice to take on a Neil Diamond hit, 'Sweet Caroline', that really put their episode of Carpool Karaoke over the top.
About 11 minutes into the episode, Corden challenges the guys to add their signature ad libs to the Neil Diamond song, saying they should be able to make it work because they are "so good at producing tracks".
Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset rise to the challenge, giving the song all their signature trap hitmaker energy. They don't miss a beat as they sing along, improvising on ad libs and appearing to genuinely enjoy the song. At the end of the song, one of the group members confirms that Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline' is indeed "a classic".
Talk about using music to bridge the gap between generations!
