Goats take over New York railway
Commuters in Brooklyn, New York had to deal with goats who wandered onto their route.
People travelling to work on the N-track in Brooklyn, New York were met with a delay of an unusual kind when train drivers had to stop for goats.
The farm animals, clearly very far from home, were wandering around on the track, blissfully unaware of the trouble they were causing. Trains had to stop for two hours while emergency personnel tried to get the goats to safety.
It is difficult to believe that a train can be held up in traffic, but would employers believe that everyone who is late to work was held up by a couple of mutinous goats?

Representatives from the New York Police Department said the goats were nervous when they saw the people trying to catch them and began running in opposite directions. Eventually, they were captured, given safe tranquilisers and transported to a nearby animal sanctuary.
No one has come forward to take responsibility for the goats. As to how they ended up on the N-track in the first place, there is speculation that they may have escaped from a meat market in the neighbourhood.
