A pub is both the best and worst place to enjoy any sport on television. You're guaranteed to find a fun crowd and there will be plenty of drinks to keep your spirits up while you cheer your side on.

But things can also get out of hand very quickly, especially if the sports event in question causes a great deal of tension between opposing sides.

Soccer fans in Kent demonstrated the kind of chaos that can develop at a pub when, after witnessing England's victory over Colombia, the crowd fell into a rowdy brawl.

The Daily Star reports that the fight was started by a man in a white shirt who was seen pushing a fellow patron. From then, more people joined the fight, throwing punches and pushing people to the ground.

Security guards ducked beer cans in order to try and break up the fight, the exact cause of which is still not known.

Pub brawls are not uncommon, but this one, which occurred at a moment when every England supporter should have been celebrating their country going through to the quarter-finals of the World Cup, is especially disappointing.

One observer commented: "They should all be celebrating together that we won... Makes you feel ashamed, doesn’t it?"
