Boy with Down Syndrome scores his first touchdown
One mother’s wish became a reality when her son, Robby Heil, who suffers from Down Syndrome, was awarded an opportunity to score his first touchdown for his team.
The Michigan High School water boy scored a touchdown for his mother who has been diagnosed with cancer over the weekend, Daily News reported. According to ABC, his team set him up for the touchdown, because he is such an incredible human being.
"I am hoping that everybody can learn from him. I have learned so much from him in the past four years. I’ve learned more from him than I’ve probably taught him," the team’s Head coach Jeff Burnside told the publication.
To his mother, the team’s effort meant everything. “This team has just been so instrumental in helping me get him to practice while I'm at chemo and it takes a village to raise my son and this village has been really outstanding,” she told Fox 2.
