#BananaPeelChallenge takes over the internet
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Do something silly, put it on a video, share it on social, and boom, it might just turn into a trend.
The #BananaPeelChallenge started when Jason Oakes tried to test if banana peels would really make one fall just like it happens in cartoons.
"Ya'll I tried to see if banana peels were [really] slippery like in cartoons & I slipped & tried 2 catch myself w/ a cup," he wrote on Twitter.
His crazy test soon became a trend with many teenagers taking on the challenge.
Oakes' video has been shared over 100,000 times in less than two days, and considering how hysterically funny it is, it is not surprising at all that it has received so many shares and likes in such a short period of time.
See for yourself: (warning, don't try this at home because you might just end up with a sore body)

Will you be taking on the challenge (though we don't encourage you to)? Share your video with Barney.
