Are you willing to have your face massaged by a few meat cleavers?
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
This latest health craze seems to be rapidly making its way to many countries around the world.
Wait! What?! The latest health craze involves sharp knives and meat cleavers? Talk about being 'unique'.
Well, as scary and this sounds, it's true! It is believed that the rhythmic 'whacking' of the blades is extremely relaxing and soothing for the skin. The latest craze is said to be enjoyed by many, as shown in the video below.
Sharp knives and meat cleavers are pressed against the skin with only a thin cloth covering your face and body. Hsiao Mei Fang, the owner of Ancient Art of Knife Therapy Education Centre, in Taipei, Taiwan, has been performing the strange procedure for more than 13 years. Ms Fang said: "The treatment is originally from China and is 2500 years old."
Even though it seems safe and somewhat 'interesting', we're not sure if one could call this 'relaxing'. The treatment will set you back about R500 and not only will it relax you, but it will change the energy inside of you.
We're giving this one a skip. You?
Are you brave enough to try this treatment?
