SA couple breaks GWR for longest underwater kiss
Holding a four-minute kiss underwater is no joke...
A couple who are passionate about the ocean recently took on a romantic and unusual world record attempt.
Beth Neale from South Africa and Miles Cloutie from Canada broke a Guinness World Record that was last set 13 years ago.
The two attempted this Guinness World Record "in the infinity pool at the LUX* resort in the Maldives, showcasing their immense breath holding capability." (YouTube)
It's no joke holding your breath underwater, but to do it in a shared way, must be super challenging.
Essentially you are sharing your breath with someone else, and making sure your natural instincts don't take over and steal your air can be tricky.
At least that is what we think.

According to the Guinness World Records, the couple began their attempt at 07:30 am on February 4.
The day began with them practicing breath-holding warmups, which was followed by two underwater trial kisses.
The kissers broke the record with a grand time of 4 minutes, 6 seconds.
