As mothers, there is rarely a moment when you get to put yourself first.
And for those mothers who have mastered it, we commend you, because it can be a trying practice to embark on.
No matter how much you know you need it, sometimes things just don't work out for you. So, you take what you can and leave the rest to be.

One mum posted a video of what happened when she asked for two minutes to herself.
At the time, she was in the bathroom. Despite the door being closed, her child slips something under it.
A handwritten note slides in smoothly and says the cutest thing.
The truth is, amidst our desperate need to retain our sanity, we still soften up as soon as our kids do something.
It is inevitable for us to have mom guilt, but how we choose to balance our lives will say a lot of our kids when they are older.
Remember, sometimes taking the step to empower our kids is difficult, but definitely something needed for emotionally strong children.
