Man with the longest nose in the world shares how he was teased
Mehmet Özyürek holds the world record for the longest nose on a living person, which measures 8.8cm from the bridge to the tip.
As a society, we tend to be quite judgmental when it comes to people's physical attributes.
Whether that comes in the form of a weirdly shaped head or large ears, people have always been quite astounded by unusually large or small physical features.
In this case, the Guinness World Records, who we know to be the institution that wants to discover people who are the world's best and measure them at it; made quite an aromatic discovery.
They discovered the man with the longest nose! And it seems that having a larger nose does impact on your ability to smell things better.

Özyürek says that his friends would tease him when he was younger, calling him names like 'Big Nose'. But it did not bother him as he realised that he had a special feature.
As much as he garnered the attention each time he walked into the room, he chose to use his nose to his benefit.
He went on to say that he is able to smell things differently to other people.
Özyürek also said that the Guinness World Records people like his nose and so does his wife - and that was all he needed to appreciate his physical position on having a larger nose than others.
