Paying it forward can be so motivational...
Not many people would think about others after they have won a large sum of money.
But this woman, Crystal Dunn from Louisville, Kentucky, decided after winning the lottery that she wanted to use this opportunity to pay it forward and help others.
Crystal won $146,351.74 (over R2-million) just moments after purchasing a $20 Instant Play wager. She did not expect to win but when she did, she decided to pass her luck on to others.
"After picking up and depositing her check on July 8, Dunn's next stop was Meijer, a supermarket chain, where she bought $2,000 in gift cards. And then she started handing them out to strangers in the store." (CNN)
Many of the people were taken aback by her gesture and wondered if she was expecting something in return.
"But Dunn said she got a 'gift' and believes 'in paying it forward and I wanted to pass it along'." (CNN)
What a wonderful gesture just to think of others when you are in your moment of glory.
