Falling into a slump after a bad day can be so easy. As a parent, it can be even more difficult because there is this expectation to have it all together for your kids.
But having a bad day isn't something you can control, what you can control is how you respond to the bad things that influence your mood.
A video that totally warmed our hearts whilst also teaching us something was shared by a mom, Cristal Allure, on TikTok recently.
In the video, we see mom about to make a video on how she was having a tough day.
And then her little girl jumps in and tries to soothe her by telling her to repeat gratitude affirmations.
The young girl is so sweet in her genuine approach in trying to make her mother feel better. Not only does it inspire us, but it also reminds us that our kids mirror us and their ability to connect comes from how we connect with them when they are sad.
