"It's not about men vs women, it's about humans helping each other."
When we get reminded that a race is only that great when you can share your glory...
Just as we are still celebrating athletes on completing the infamous Comrades marathon, we still the spirit of comradery extends to what we know as the world's most challenging race.
The IRONMAN World Championship is known for its brutal and challenging course.
And as much as we get to see the triumphant athletes who push through and are built of iron (so to speak), we also see the athletes that give it their all and are unable to finish.

It is through circumstances such as these that we get the proverbial test.
That test that represents the principles of life, where we are placed in a position of choosing a path for our own gain or helping someone else through so that you may both gain.
In this case, it was at the finish line of the prestigious IRONMAN World Championship race. A key part of the race indeed.
A woman who was trying to crawl her way to the finish line was just meters away. To us it might seem like such a simple thing, with just a few meters away how could she not find it in her to push through.
But we have not put our bodies through the extensive, strenuating training and grueling process that these IRONMAN athletes have. We will never understand because each person is different.
As we see her struggling to make it, a fellow IRONMAN athlete who passes her, turns around and instinctively comes back to help her.

The spirit of comradery and human kindness is endearing and exactly what we need to see in this day and age.
So many people are so focused on their wins, that they forget about the people who are running the race with them.
But this man showed us that taking the win is one thing but taking the win knowing that your fellow competitor is struggling isn't as triumphant as you would think.
"Approximately 100,000 triathletes try to qualify, only 2,000 triathletes end up on the actual start line. That’s 2%."
