Have you ever forgotten your baby?

A video shows a man forgetting to put his baby into the car and leaves the child in the baby carrier on the roof of the car.
We get that life can present some stresses that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
But as parents, we are expected to have things together. That added layer of responsibility doesn't quite give us the freedom to lose our sense of control and ability to parent.
Of course, the pressure of everything can get you to behave wonky. For the most part, we can cut each other some slack, but like Twitter, the parent mob can be harsh and unforgiving.
In a video that was posted to TikTok, we noticed a man - who we assume is the father - forget his baby on the roof of the car.
He seemed preoccupied and left the baby in the baby carrier on the roof of the car, got in, and began driving.
The baby was fine, and nothing bad happened, but this was all because people around shouted and ran to stop him from driving off with the child on the roof of the car.

As much as our first instincts are to judge, remember that you never really know what people are going through.
And parenting in general is tough, but parenting a baby is somehow more challenging; what with the lack of sleep and the huge responsibility of this little human needing you all the time...
We were horrified when we saw the video, but it reminded us to be more mindful about supporting other parents, instead of being so quick to judge.
