Some valuable information for parents of three-year-olds...
It's not easy being a parent to a toddler, ask any parent to a toddler. The mood shifts and inability to reason can be extremely challenging.
But there are things that can help us. Toddler expert and paediatrician, Dr Cathryn, has shared some common dislikes among three-year-olds.
1. Since many three-year-olds are gaining their independence and starting to assert it, telling them what to do can sometimes be restricting for them, and therefore have a negative reaction.
It takes away their ability to make their own choices.

2. Most three-year-olds are still quite attached to their parents and do not like being away from them.
So, if you are putting them in a position where they are going to be with unfamiliar people, let's just say it is not going to go off well.
3. Since they are still learning about boundaries, they may not appreciate being reprimanded or disciplined. Perhaps take that into consideration the next time you want to scold your three-year-old.
4. Since they are just getting used to asserting their control and making their own choices, they also may not sit well with being rushed or pressured.
5. Sharing is a big deal. There are many different theories surrounding this concept. But for the most part, forcing your child to share can be unwelcome, to say the least.
