Do you think it's fair when kids leave a mess at restaurants?

We have personal experience with kids being messy, but that's no excuse. We should teach them to clean after themselves wherever they are.

There's no doubt that kids of this generation enjoy going out for dinner.

It is something of a treat for most families, and we have to agree that it can come with its pros and cons.

For one, it's a crowd pleaser because it means no cooking at home, which also means no cleaning up after dinner. A big pro for mums and dads whose kids are too young for washing the dishes.

But it seems that the mess that is being avoided at home during dining out, comes at the expense of the restaurant staff.

A restaurant host shared a post on the 'Mildly Infuriating' page on Reddit. In the image we see a messy floor next to a table.

The post reads: "This is why I, as a restaurant host, hate kids and the parents who enable them. This is just the floor, I had already cleaned the table, the chairs, and the shattered plate." (Reddit)

As parents, we totally get it, children are hardwired to be messy, but that's no excuse to leaving a restaurant dirty.

After all, we lead by example when it comes to our kids learning how to conduct themselves.

We loved some of the responses from parents who actually didn't attack the restaurant host for posting this, but rather supported her.
