The incredibly powerful video has been shared widely online and with good reason. It was created by ‘Girls. Girls. Girls.’ magazine and it highlights just how much pressure women are placed under every single day (and how conflicting these messages can be).
The video features 'Sex And The City' star Cynthia Nixon and has been viewed more than 2.7-million times on Vimeo.
Be a lady they said. Don’t be too fat. Don’t be too thin. Don’t be too large. Don’t be too small. Eat up. Slim down. Stop eating so much. Don’t eat too fast. Order a salad. Don’t eat carbs. Skip dessert. You need to lose weight. Fit into that dress. Go on a diet. Watch what you eat.- Be A Lady, They Said
