Massive waves batter Durban beach

A Durban beach has been closed due to massive waves which battered the shore earlier today.
These waves are ENORMOUS!
The swells were so huge, officials have deemed the beach unsafe for swimming.

Several people have taken to social media to share videos of the waves.
It seems like Mother Nature is showing her full might today, with strong gusts of wind blowing cyclists off course in Cape Town as well.
Stacy Colborne of the South African Weather Service's KwaZulu-Natal office explains Cyclone Enawo which hit Madagascar in no way contributed to the swells.
