a mind-bending trick!
A video created by professors Pascal Wallisch and Michael Karlovich in 2021 sets out to explain why human eyes get tricked by colours.

In the video, they use a socks and Crocs combo of different colours to demonstrate how our vision can be tricked.
They put a green light overlay on a picture of pink Crocs and beige socks to make the Crocs appear grey.

This illusion can be used to explain why the black and blue or white and gold dress went viral in 2015.
