A well-intended man mistook a slushy machine for hand sanitiser when he walked in to pay at a petrol station.

In the video, that has now been shared widely on social media, a man can be seen walking into the store where a slushy machine was situated at the entrance. He immediately walks to the machine and starts pumping the sticky red liquid onto his hands, thinking he is sanitising them.
The video has received thousands of views online and a variety of comments from amused social media users.
"Aww bless him. The world is just so confusing for everyone at the moment," one user said.
