WATCH: Gruesome shark attack caught on camera
A diver was lucky to
escape with his leg after a large shark attacked him in Egypt.
A group of divers were shocked when a shark latched onto a diver’s leg in the water at the Brother Islands in the Red Sea, Egypt.
The video of the incident that was filmed by a British holidaymaker, named Dan White, shows the oceanic white tip shark approaching the group of divers, and suddenly lashing out.
The shark clamped onto the diver's leg and screams could be heard underwater as another diver tried to get the shark off the victim. The shark eventually let go and blood could be seen ushing from the victim's leg. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Dan White, 28, was on holiday with his girlfriend, Shaunie Thomas, 23 revealed details of the shocking incident to Mirror UK.

"Some people don’t believe it’s real - and most tell me I’m crazy for getting in the water in the first place.
"I’ve heard of shark attacks on the news and in magazines, but I’ve never heard of anything like this happening near me let alone witnessed it before."
"I’ve learnt that sharks aren’t to be taken lightly - they’re unpredictable and as we are in their home they always have the upper hand," he continued.
"Everyone needs to stay vigilant whilst diving with them."
Swimming with sharks is quite dangerous and we're glad the victim is okay.
