Group let their drowning friend sweat it out in the pool

When you think you can handle a swim in the pool but then jump into the deep end...

Holidaying with friends is always something to look forward to. But that depends significantly on whether you can rely on your friends to have your back.
A video shared on social media shows a man jumping into a pool. While it looked like fun and games as they played in the pool, the man wasn't prepared for how deep the water was and began flailing his arms frantically.
What was surprising was seeing one of his friends, who was in the water, jump out after seeing him struggle to stay afloat instead of helping him.

While it seems easy to judge, in these situations, if you don't feel confident as a swimmer and in your abilities to help someone in trouble, then it's best to ask for help and leave it to someone else.
Not everyone is built to be calm and collected in such situations. We think that might have been the reason no one jumped in to help him, but continued to record him drowning.
People came to the comments with very strong opinions.
"With friends like these, who needs enemies?" one person wrote.
Another wrote: "Imagine if he were alone, people must learn the basics enough to survive."
"They let him learn a lesson before saving him."
The video got us thinking about the importance of learning how to swim at an early age.
