Dad shares awkward moment he realised he dated his son's girlfriend!
So very awkward...
It's not often you would hear a father and son compare stories about dating the same woman.
Nor is it anywhere close to appropriate, but we have heard about stories where this has happened.
In fact, we are certain there are some movies based on the same premise.
This real-life story was shared on Reddit by a father who realised that his son was dating a woman he had previously dated two or so years back.
"The Reddit user, a 45-year-old man, explained how he had a romantic relationship with his son’s new girlfriend two years ago – but it ended due to distance." (MSN)
Here's when things got even more awkward - yes, more awkward...
He revealed that the girlfriend had a one-year-old son which he thinks is his!
Unsure about this conundrum of a case, he shared what he did on Reddit and asked people if he did the right thing.
He bit the bullet and had the awkward conversation with his son, and admitted:
"“If you think period talk, and sex education talks are difficult, you have not slept with your son’s girlfriend yet." (MSN)
As you can imagine, the conversation was anything but easy. His son, who was left confused, said he needed some time to himself, which dad completely understood.

Dad has asked the girlfriend if they could possibly have a paternity test done, but he is still waiting on her.
