Dad finds himself sweating as toddler locks himself in room
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Who better than our kids to get us sweating our pants off?
Dads are often seen as "the calm ones" who everyone seeks out when it comes to solving a problem.
And if dads cannot solve it, then we can agree with the masses - we are all screwed. Put that on your Cardies Father's Day card!
One father did not want to admit defeat to a pressing issue posed by his two-year-old.
The Carlin family, who are popular on TikTok, shared a video of how their son Asher locked himself in the room.
Of course, we assume it was by accident. We doubt he knew the implications of his action until after he did it.
But it was the convincing that Dad had to undertake that proved the little man was in fact in need of a rescue.
We are certain most of the parent community has been through this at some point.
Given the varied locks in your home, from traditional keys to doorknobs (like in this family's case), it is clear that children are natural born explorers. "Curious by nature" should be tattooed to their person at birth as a constant reminder that we need to be on our toes.

It was the "I'm just a baby" that left us wanting to laugh. We could see that dad wanted to laugh too but he was a bit nervous as to how he was going to get him out.
If it were us, we would've broken the door down!
However, we did respect how calm he was and his ability to try and talk his son through it. What better time to celebrate dads than now...Happy Father's Day!
