Weddings are expensive!
There are alternatives, but most of the time, the romanticised notion of getting married and the frills and flares take precedence.
But the part that becomes tricky is when it becomes expensive for the guests...
This bridesmaid decided to use Twitter as her platform to share how much she has already spent on a wedding.

Now that's a lot of money to spend for one person to attend a wedding!
Many people came to her post sharing their opinions.
And as much as it was a mixed set of responses, we can firmly say that most of the time spending on that one 'iconicised' day, is not worth what you could do with that money...

It can be a difficult choice to make when you are invited to be part of the bridal party - more so when you are close to the person getting married.
But there should be some line drawn in the sand when it comes to spending limitations on your guests. After all, they haven't asked for the honour to be there with you...
