Sleep Expert, Dr Paul Kelley speaks to Rian
Updated | By The Complimentary Breakfast
Dr Paul Kelley is a Honorary Clinical Research Associate in the Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute at Oxford University in the UK. His research has shown that working before 10am is seen as 'slavery'. Dr Kelley explains to us about what he means by this.
His research focuses on biological timing systems that directly impact learning and education. He joined The Complimentary Breakfast live via Skype from the UK this morning to speak about his research and we find out more about why getting up before 10am to work is torture for people of a certain age.
The 5 calls poll: Is it torture to force people to start work before 9am?
We also asked listeners to call in if they were somewhere where a person was still asleep, wake them up and asked them if they thought it was torture for people to have to work before 10am. We find out what our barely awake listeners had to say and get Dr Kelley’s view.
