Would you challenge your local community police officer to a dance-off?
Los Angeles police are going the extra mile to connect with their communities and keep everyone safe.
Police officers have to stay on their toes to make sure they respond effectively to the needs of their communities. Los Angeles Patrol Deputy Vic Ekanem knows that better than most of his staff members after a child from his neighbourhood challenged him to a dance-off while he was on duty.
The Deputy tries his best to keep up, but by the end of the video, there is a clear winner.
Ekanem and his partner were responding to an accidental 911 call in the area when they decided to take a few minutes to talk to the children and make sure they were safe.

The conversation led to one young boy piping up to challenge Ekanem to match his dancing skills. They took on many popular dance styles, including "flossing".
Ekanem may have finished worse off, but the community can rest assured in the knowledge that he and his colleagues, who are part of the Stop Hate and Respect Everyone (SHARE) programme, will do everything in their power to make sure the people in their community are safe and taken care of.
