Wheelchair-bound Hong Kong man summits mountain
Updated | By Nkhensani Manabe
Lai Chi-wai, 35, was an avid rock climber before his accident, but he continues to be a strong athlete after becoming paralysed from the hip down.
Lai Chi-wai has been a keen athlete for most of his life, choosing to do things that test his strength and push his body to its limit.
An accident in 2011 meant the loss of both of his legs, but this man has not let that slow him down.
Lai Chi-wai's efforts have landed him a nomination for the Laureus World Sports Awards in the World's Best Sporting Moments category.
The mountain which he scaled stands at approximately 495 metres, which is higher than New York's Empire State Building.
