Wearing two masks can help against new variant from SA
Dr Anthony Fauci said wearing two masks is a logical strategy to stop the spread of COVID-19 - especially against the new variant which is more contagious.
The new COVID-19 variant, 501Y.V2, is spreading rapidly as it is more contagious.
According to Dr Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the United States and chief medical advisor to the US president, Joe Biden, said double-masking is the most common thing to do to stop the spread of this COVID-19 variant.

Speaking on NBC News' TODAY, Fauci said double layering "just makes common sense" for extra protection.
"That's the reason why you see people either double masking or doing a version of an N-95," Fauci continued.

Double layering doesn't mean you should let your guard down. All citizens should still use social distancing practices, wash their hands regularly, and avoid large gatherings.
