In 2020, Grammy Award-winner Alica Keys went viral in South Africa after she was recorded dancing to Babes Wodumo's song, 'eLamont'. The new single is off her latest album, 'Idando Kazi'.
Keys was filmed by her husband, Swizz Beatz, while celebrating their 10th anniversary.

In the video, Alicia dances while her husband, who is recording it, hypes her up in the background. While dancing, Swizz shouts “show them”, “woza“, and “yebo".
In 2021, 'Work' singer Rihanna trended on social media after she used a proudly South African song, 'Midnight Starring' by DJ Maphorisa, Moonchild, DJ Tira, and Busiswa in an ad for her brand new Fenty Beauty make-up collection.

Now, another American singer, Usher, danced to a proudly South African song, 'Sponono' by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.
Usher took many of his fans and Instagram followers by surprise when he posted his behind-the-scene video with L'Officiel Hommes Italia magazine, where he was seen dancing to the song.
