Grace Franklin paid tribute to her iconic grandmother by singing one of her hit singles, 'Ain't No Way'.
Aretha Franklin's granddaughter Grace Franklin, 15, auditioned for the latest season of 'American Idol'.

"I feel like people expect me to sing exactly like her, but I am my own artist; I have my own voice."
Her first song was Lauryn Hill's 'Killing Me Softly', and when asked to sing another song, she sang 'Ain't No Way' in honour of her grandmother.

Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan voted no, while Kate Perry voted yes, commenting that she had "stardust" and "sparkle" on her.
"I think the best thing for you in life is to take a shot in going backwards, go back and get a running start and come at this again," said Lionel Richie.
