The media serves an important role in providing investigative reports, debates, discussions, backgrounds, and analysis, as well as news stories.

Investigative journalism has brought down the gauntlet on corruption and fraud in South Africa. Media reports resulted in several probes by crime-busting entities.
One of South Africa's leading journalists, Jeremy Maggs, has been a news producer for the past 30 years.

Maggs resigned from the television news channel, eNCA, in March.
He visited the Scenic Drive to speak about journalism in South Africa and his new book, 'My Final Answer'.
