In 2019, Kani also starred in the hit remake of 'The Lion King'. He was the powerful voice of Rafiki.
Now, Kani is using his voice to encourage all to get vaccinated.
In January, Kani begged the government on social media to "secure COVD-19 vaccines". Six days ago, Kani received his vaccine at Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital.

"It is incredibly important for all of us, just not the over 60's, to get vaccinated. It is important to live and to be part of this process so that we can still be part of our families and extended families.
"Please, get your vaccination. It is the only way that guarantees that we continue to live".
Kani joined the Scenic Drive with Rian to talk about the moment he received his vaccination.
"I just registered and received a message that said I'm registered. After two weeks, I received another message to where I can go get my vaccine. And after that another message with the time."
"The doctor told me that the might be some side effects but it is so quick and efficient."
