Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga shares some plans with Rian
City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Solly Msimanga will be on The Scenic Drive with Rian to talk about his plans for addressing some of the city's major concerns.
Since taking the office of Mayor of Tshwane in 2016, Solly Msimanga has left quite an impression.
The Premier of Gauteng, David Makhura, praised Msimanga's work, while the mayor earned himself the favour of with residents by selling the official 'mayoral mansion' and channelling the proceeds towards helping Pretoria's homeless.
While the Mayor has certainly made his mark during his short time in office, the City of Tshwane is still facing the same issues that plague other areas.
The Mayor himself has been hands-on in dealing with the issue of illegal electrical connections. In the video below, he talks about the extent of the problem in Mamelodi, calling for all residents to come together and work against the theft, which costs the municipality millions of Rands.
The Mayor took questions from citizens of Tshwane, directing them to resources that could help them.
