Tshwane mayor Randall Williams answers residents' burning questions

Tshwane mayor Randall Williams visited the Scenic Drive with Rian and answered residents' burning questions regarding public services.

In October 2020, the Democratic Alliance's (DA) Randall Williams was elected as the mayor of the City of Tshwane.

Williams is a South African politician and attorney.

In November 2020, the Scenic Drive met the newly elected mayor. 

At that time, Williams promised to sort out the "chaotic" council and work with the local municipalities.

"The main mandate is to do the work of what a municipality is supposed to do, and that is to clean parks, fix potholes, fix broken lights, and garbage collection," he said. 

During this week's State of the Capital address, Williams promised that the city will pump millions of rands into maintaining and refurbishing critical water and electricity infrastructure.

Mayor Williams made his return to the Scenic Drive studio to talk to residents about issues in their areas.
