South African students help matrics of 2020 - free of charge

Due to the national lockdown, all matrics of 2020 are forced to stay home. Two students came together to help pupils who are in need of help with academics - and they do it for free.

A group of A+ students who passed matric in 2019 have decided to help the matrics of 2020 during lockdown.

The group of students decided to help the class of 2020 with their academics - and they do it for free. 

They assist pupils with any tutoring in any areas they are struggling in while not being a school.

Students Kayla Field and Trent Lilford joined the Scenic Drive to talk about why they decided to help with tutoring.

Kayla Field passed matric with 7 distinctions. Field is currently studying BSc Human Life Science with Psychology at Stellenbosch.

Trent Lilford also passed matric with 7 distinctions. He is currently studying BAcc at Stellenbosch

"Both of us started the initiative to help matrics.

"Matrics can fill in the form - and then we take it from there. We will allocate a tutor to a specific matric who needs help in a subject," Field.
