Radio host fired after comparing Serena Williams' skin tone to burnt toast

A radio host was fired after comparing Serena Williams' skin tone to burnt toast live on-air.

Radio host, Rob Lederman, the host of Morning Bull with 97 Rock in New York, was fired after he compared Serena Williams' skin tone to burnt toast.

Lederman and his co-hosts compared how they liked their toast to black women’s skin tone.

Lederman had led a conversation about having “toaster settings” for black women to lay out “the attractiveness of women that I find to be attractive.”

“I will never go to a Serena Williams level, but I’m very comfortable with a Halle Berry level.”

Lederman's two co-hosts, Rich "Bull" Gaenzler and Chris Klein, were also suspended from the show over their participation in the on-air exchange.

The audio went viral and advertisers immediately boycotted the station.
