Overzealous football fan has a run-in with police in Russia
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Police in Russia had an extreme reaction to a fan's merrymaking on the streets of the city after a World Cup match against Spain.
Wherever there is a large crowd, there is bound to be some chaos. Football matches are among the top examples of unruly crowds engaging in risky behaviour. No matter the kinds of security measures in place, there will always be a handful of people who test the limits.
One man who was at the stadium during the past weekend's World Cup game between Russia and Spain took his celebrations a step too far - and paid the price.

Apparently encouraged by one or two friends, a man is seen climbing onto a police car then proceeding to jump up and down on its roof. As soon as the police catch sight of what he is doing, the people around the man disperse, leaving him to face the consequences alone.

Police are seen beating the man while bystanders distance themselves from the situation.
Clearly, these police officers had no patience for the hooliganism of overzealous football fans. But did such a beating fit the football enthusiast's crime?
This is what people had to say:
They honestly didn’t need to beat him. Like I hope those officers get beaten. I’d pay to see that.

If they don't, everyone would jump on their cars, and they'd become a joke. This is exactly what you have to do.
