London bus driver saves biker just in time

A bus driver in London helped a biker to stop just before he hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road. It is his cool demeanour in the face of potential danger that has charmed everyone who has seen the footage.

When you're zipping around a big city in a top-of-the-range motorcycle, it is possible to get so caught up in the mechanics of your new vehicle that you overlook one or two rules of the road.

Youtube content creator Royal Jordanian knows this very well, as his latest ride through the streets of London nearly ended in an incident involving a pedestrian. The man's ride on a brand new silent electric bike is going very well, if not a touch too quickly. But it is not just the taxis that he has to share the road with.

Just as the rider is about to pass smoothly by another bus, the driver of the bus puts out an arm and signals to him to slow down. The driver apparently spotted a pedestrian a split second before the biker did, and alerted him in order to avoid a collision.

What happens next is what has placed the bus driver firmly in the internet's good books: the driver shares a cool nod and a quick handshake with the biker in a manner that appears to say: "I've got your back."

Of course, all vehicle owners are individually responsible for how they behave on the road. However, it is good to know that there are considerate people out there who will look out for everyone they are sharing the journey with.
