Jennifer Hudson earns her EGOT after winning first Tony Award
The 40-year-old actress and singer took home her first Tony Award for 'A Strange Loop', which won Best Musical at New York's Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night.
Jennifer Hudson has earned the title of EGOT (the achievement of having won all four of the major American entertainment awards - an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony).
The 'Dreamgirls' star now has a Tony award to go along with her Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar.

Hudson earned the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work as Effie White in the 2007 film, 'Dreamgirls'. She went on to win two Grammy Awards, the first for her self-titled album in 2008 and the second for 'The Color Purple', which won Best Musical Theater Album in 2017.
Hudson is overjoyed to be revealing a different side of herself. The inspirational artist, who started her singing career as a contestant on 'American Idol', is always aiming higher.

"I've always loved people, and I can't wait to connect on a deeper level and show them the various facets of who I am, the human being," she said.
