Heritage Month: #BackyardBraai at the Royal Danish Residence
The Scenic Drive team celebrate Heritage Month with the Royal Danish Residence in Pretoria.
South Africa and Denmark have rich cultural heritages that were celebrated on the Scenic Drive - and what better way to celebrate than with food!

As part of the Danish Embassy’s culinary diplomacy, they partnered with Jacaranda FM, in a culinary heritage festival.
In keeping with the South African celebration of Heritage Month, the Danish Embassy hosted the Scenic Drive at the Danish Residence for a culinary exchange of Danish and South African cuisine.

The Danish Embassy prepared dishes that accompanied the setting of a #BackyardBraai; as well as an array of Danish traditional dishes like ‘smørrebrød’ and ‘rød grød med fløde’.
The team broadcast live from the garden of the Royal Danish Residence and shared the experience with their audience.

The participants at the #BackyardBraai were colleagues from the Danish Embassy and Jacaranda FM, as well as children from Alexandra Township affiliated with Save The Children, which the Embassy is collaborating with.
