Chinese woman climbs through train station X-ray machine
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
A woman in Shanghai, China refused to leave her handbag at the mercy of train station technology, opting instead to climb into the X-ray machine along with her belongings in order to 'protect' them.
The technology used for security purposes at airports or train stations can be intimidating. The X-rays are especially daunting because you can't help but ask yourself, 'what if everyone judges me based on what they see inside my bags?'
Of course, none of the other travellers can actually see the video that the X-ray produces, but the fear is always there.

It is exactly this sentiment which drove a Shanghai woman to climb onto the conveyor belt along with her handbag. After hearing from officials that small handbags were not, in fact, exempt from the security check, the woman decided to go through the X-ray machine herself in order to protect her belongings!
It is well-known that the radiation from these kinds of X-ray machines is dangerous for human beings. Thankfully, the woman emerged unharmed.
