America's young adults have no idea how to open a can of tuna

Jimmy Kimmel took to the streets to conduct a very important experiment involving a group of millennials and a few cans of tuna fish. The results were interesting, to say the least.
The American media has no shortage of pundits waiting to blame the decline of the economy on young people. The longest-running joke is about which industry millennials are "killing". Is it movie theatres, soap, furniture or cereal?
The latest old and charming daily item that millennials are stomping on, according to the Wall Street Journal, is canned tuna fish. Following reports that young people don't even own tin openers, Jimmy Kimmel went out to investigate.
Of the people that the show filmed, only one was able to open the can. But, to be fair, they did all give it a good try. So, the fact that a person does not own a tin opener does not mean they are not able to use one. Never judge a person's abilities based on the contents of their kitchen cupboards.
The young man who attempted to open the small tin with a large butcher's knife, however, should perhaps not be left alone in a kitchen.
The idea that young people are incapable of doing or appreciating simple, "traditional" things has gained a lot of traction in recent years. The real question, however, is this: is society not just clinging onto the past instead of embracing the future?
