7,000 calorie fry-up is a sure way to eat yourself into a heart attack
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Known as the "Family Crunch Box", the fried food feast is quite popular in Scotland.
Most people would agree that there is nothing as satisfying as a warm plate of fried fish and chips. In fact, the food is so good that you might catch yourself saying, "I could eat this forever and ever."
They say you should be careful what you wish for. A cafe in Scotland is making every fried food lover's dreams come true daily with this massive "Family Crunch Box".

The box is sold at a shop called East West Spice, and it is very popular. For £10 (roughly R180), you can have all the fried food your heart desires. And you should use the money you have left over to buy yourself a very strong antacid.
Here's how the calories add up:
2-litre bottle of Irn Bru = 400 calories
2 battered sausages = 712 calories
Battered fish = 444 calories
2 portions of chips = 1,902 calories
2 battered fritters = 370 calories
2 battered burgers = 602 calories
5 chicken nuggets = 233 calories
5 onion rings = 750 calories
2 half pizza crunches = 1,400 calories
The box includes an assortment of fried foods such as fish, chips, onion rings and hash browns. It's enough to make the mouths of three or four men water and, at a whopping 7,000 calories, it is also a very unhealthy meal choice. But that hasn't stopped people from celebrating the meal and calling it "very Scottish".
