A video of a weatherman stopping his bulletin mid-broadcast to warn his children about a tornado has gone viral.

In the video, you see the weatherman, Doug Kammerer, presenting the forecasted path of a tornado which he says will pass right over his home.
While remaining professional and giving information about the tornado, he phoned his kids and told them to get down to the basement for safety.

People have been applauding his actions, saying: "People are saying 'What a great weatherman'. No that's being a great father. Much respect."
